Changing Lives

A bike is more than transportation – it can empower individuals and entire communities.

Empowering Women

We provide bicycles and mechanical training and teach women how to ride, empowering them with skills to keep their families moving forward.

Training Mechanics

Vocational traning provides personal empowerment, professional opportunities and a way to provide for families and communities.

Keeping Students in School

Many students face long walks to school. Donated bikes get them there faster and help them stay in school.

Transforming Communities

Donated bikes allow health workers to see more clients, farmers to get goods to market and small business owners to support their families.

Changing lives one bike at a time.

Beyond Bikes

The Bike Project is bigger than simply providing transportation to individuals, we strive to transform communities. Our bikes are donated to our partners to make change ongoing and sustainable in their neighborhoods. They repair, maintain and often sell bikes to support their overall missions.

One area of focus for Learn Work Develop in Rwanda is on schools and students. They encourage learning sessions and support teachers and mentors to provide guidance, motivation, and academic support. The overall goal is to increase and maintain enrollment.
